AP Computer Science Principles introduces students to the foundational concepts of computer science (creativity, problem solving and programming) and challenges them to explore how computing and technology can impact the world. In this course students learn how the Internet works, how to build apps, understand data and encryption, and how digital information is encoded and represented.

The College Board designed AP Computer Science Principles with the goal of creating leaders in computer science fields and attracting and engaging those who are traditionally underrepresented with essential computing tools and multidisciplinary opportunities. This course does not require any student prerequisites.

Attend this information session to learn more about the course, the free professional development that 9 Dots and Code.org are providing, and how you can bring this course to your school next school year.
